As the whites begun to move westward, indian settlements were pushed further west. Through the expanding power of the Americans, Indian Territory was ever-changing as they had become nomadic. Tribes like the Iroquois blended in with the American expansion and dissolved, leaving little pockets of Indian territory in the East. The Cherokee were forced to leave their hometown Georgia and was the saddest movement of the Indian Tribe, called the Trail of Tears.
